We have an important DT Register update to DT Register, as we continue to make improvements to this great extension... and ALL users, regardless of the series of Joomla you are using, need to check out this update! We have updated both the Joomla 3 and 2.5 packages to version 3.1.4 and 2.8.15a, but we've also gone back and updated the Joomla 1.5 package to version 2.7.26a. Here's what we've got for you...

IMPORTANT AUTHORIZE.NET CHANGES

Authorize.net has announced that effective September 21, they are implementing changes to their API security certificates. We have applied the necessary changes to DT Register for each series of Joomla, and if you fail to get updated, after the above date, DT Register will no longer connect to Authorize.net servers for payments. There are also other upcoming changes they have implemented that we announced in our previous newsletter, which were addressed in the last DT Register update. Both are important and REQUIRED for all Authorize.net users!

DTH DEVELOPMENT AND PAYPAL PARTNERSHIP

In the last update, we announced our partnership with PayPal and in hindsight, we realize that we should have put some more details out there so we wouldn't be answering the same set of questions from different customers. The partnership was put together to provide ALL DTH customers an opportunity to receive a discount on PayPal payment services and give our customers the ability to provide their customers an integrated payment experience on their website. That said, here is a list of commonly asked questions and answers that should be helpful:

1) If I am using a standard PayPal account can I take advantage of this offer?
Answer:  Yes you can but you will need to convert your account to PayPal Pro. With the way we arranged the partnership, your monthly fee of $30 is waived so that you won't have any standard monthly fees like a standard PayPal Pro account. The biggest difference is that the standard processing fees are greatly reduced as compared to a standard PayPal account. There are no hidden fees with this offer. In fact, you only will benefit in moving to PayPal Pro, even if you don't wish to process credit cards through PayPal.

2) Can I use this with DT Donate also?
Answer:  Yes you can. In fact, anyone non-profit organization using any DTH product will immediately benefit by greatly reducing their transaction fees so we really encourage you to take advantage of this.

3) Can I replace my other credit card payment gateways, like Authorize.net, by moving to PayPal Pro?
Answer:  Yes, that is another reason why we arranged this partnership. You can have a consolidated payment gateway for PayPal and credit cards and immediately reduce your costs further by eliminating unneeded gateways to strictly process credit cards.

If you haven't updated your support subscription, now is a great time to do so. For those taking credit card payments for registrations, the savings from the discounted rates and eliminated monthly fees will pay for itself in months and you will have the added benefit of consolidated payment transactions through one provider should you choose to do that. Because of this significant discount and also the fact that we retrofitted the Authorize.net changes into all versions of DTH products, we have also changed our PayPal gateways in DT Register for Joomla 1.5, 2.5 and 3.x to pass the group discount code to PayPal so everyone can benefit.

Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file.
