DT Register 3.0.5 released for Joomla 3.1

We have many new updates to tell you about.  In our last update we had announced our latest release of DT Register and we introduced and focused on stabilizing our release for Joomla 3.1.    Since then there have been many critical fixes as well as several enhancements.  We have a new release of DT Register for Joomla 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0. 

The 3.0x series of DT Register is for Joomla 3.1 and the latest version is 3.0.5.  As before, the 2.8.x series is for Joomla 1.7/2.5 only and the latest version is 2.8.9. The 1.5 version has been updated to 2.7.25c in this new package update containing several significant fixes. Version 2.8.x and beyond leaves Joomla 1.5 behind. Here is what we have done for you:

FEATURES & FIXES IN 2.5 and 3.1 Versions:  

• Fixed problems with errors when trying to save locations.
• Integrated DT Register with new AUTH SIM Proxy plugin.
• Fixed bug that caused missing registration records.
• Added new event ordering options. No longer are you forced to list events first by category! Ordering now is applied as a primary ordering, with "Category" as an OPTION. If you choose Category, then a new Secondary Ordering parameter is applied to order within the category (for those that wish to keep it how it has always been).
• Added option to list event category in the list view as an event detail, not in a separate column. Now you can have it listed just like Location and Moderator are listed. The old Category headers only show when you choose to order events by category.
• Added code that produces trace files to help us better troubleshoot failed transactions on your site.
• Added new {PAYLATER} email tag so you can now have sections of your emails that display only if Pay Later was the payment method used. See the available email tags popup display inside of the updated component to see more about this.
• Addressed potential SQL injection vulnerability found.
• Further improved the recently added multiple category support.
• Improved Authorize.net SIM integration so declined transactions now redirect to a page giving a declined notice and reason from Authorize.net, then gives a Try Again button so the user can go back and attempt the payment again with corrected payment details. No more need to start the registration over.
• Fixed PayPal Pro so transaction ID is recorded in the DT Register record.
• Fixed Offline Credit Card payment option so credit card details are correctly saved when creating AND editing the record.
• Fixed issue where some sites would fail to create the admin menus when installing DT Register.
• Fixed issue when creating repeating events and event fees were not properly setup for the repeats.
• Repaired event management display issues on both frontend and backend.
• Fixed issue with display of discount code fields.
• Repaired the month/year filter on list of events.
• Fixed category listing of events issue with pagination.
• Fixed date format display issues.
• Fixed category color display issues in Calendar.
• Repaired issue with session handling to support additional configuration options seen on a small number of user sites.
• Added missing language tags to non-English language files as items in recent updates were not included.
• Fixed a display issue with the Cart Module.
• Repaired miscellaneous display and functionality issues.

Features and Fixes in 3.1 Version only

• Fixed icon display in frontend control panel.
• Fixed management listing of fields so pagination displays correctly allowing you to modify how many fields show per screen, giving more access to drag-n-drop ordering of fields.
• Fixed IE error for the mini Calendar module.

FEATURES & FIXES in 1.5 Version:

• Integrated DT Register with new AUTH SIM Proxy plugin.

New Version of DT Donate

We released version  2.3.4 DT Donate and in the next few days there will be a brand new version, 3.0.0 that also has some added features and plugins.  This version is a total re-write of DT Donate and some significant enhancements have been made to the product for Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.0.   No changes were made to the 1.5 version.   With this new version of DT Donate, it will be possible to add more gateways into DT Donate quicker than in the past.   Also the product has been opened up to allow for some future plugins to be developed.  Here is what has been added to the new version of DT Donate.

• Added support for Moneris Payment Gateway.
• Fixed issues with recurring donations on several payment gateways.

NEW PRODUCT - DT AUTH SIM Proxy

DTH Development has released a new plugin that enables support for more than one payment application on Joomla that is using Authorize.net's redirect service called AUTH SIM.   Authorize.net has a limitation in their AUTH SIM service where only one payment application can be supported for an account using AUTH SIM redirect for payment processing.   If you are using other applications such as a shopping cart application you can configure this plugin to redirect the success URL that is defined in Authorize.net to the appropriate payment application.   DT AUTH SIM Proxy is an ideal way to handle payments for DT Register and donations processed by DT Donate through AUTH SIM.  

What is the Status for Joomla 1.5?

Now that we have released DT Register 3.0.5 many of you are probably asking what will happen with support for Joomla 1.5.   At this point we are only doing critical bug fixes for Joomla 1.5   We are seeing tickets that are being caused by malware issues.   The Joomla 1.5 platform is no longer being updated and these malware issues are popping up because the platform is no longer being updated to address security issues.   We strongly encourage everyone to start making plans to move to a newer version of Joomla very soon as we will be dropping support officially on December 31, 2013 for Joomla 1.5.

Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file.
