Finally, we are able to announce that DT Register has support for Joomla 1.6 as we now make available version 2.7.8! This update is for both 1.5 and 1.6 and includes some new improvements and a number of bug fixes since version 2.7.7. You should update whether you are upgrading Joomla or not. Of course, upgrading to 1.6 is a migration, not just a regular upgrade. For assistance and info, click here. Check out more details and the full announcement to see what else is included...

• The download package now includes versions for both Joomla 1.5 and 1.6. You'll see now that there is no longer a Joomla 1.0 version included in the package. As we haven't touched that for 2 1/2 years, no need to keep it in the active package. In the package, each folder has it's own set of install files for the component, modules, plugins, etc as well as its own readme.txt file giving full details and instructions. READ THEM! Once you migrate to 1.6, you will need to load the new 1.6 version of each piece of DT Register (modules, plugins, profile plugins, etc). There are many CSS changes as well as completely reformatted language files, so you can't just use your older versions of these files. Be sure you test out the 1.6 version on your site before you throw it immediately into live action.

• Added a new option for the recently added Offline Credit Card option... in the pay options setup, you can now enable/disable the ability to collect the offline credit card info even if the event has a $0 calculated fee. So when you will charge for your event, but you don't know what the cost is going to be yet... you can collect payment info for processing manually later!

• Added the new Offline Credit Card details as an option to be included in the CSV export tool.

• Added a new config parameter to select which user group to assign newly created Joomla users that are created from our auto-user creation feature. (This feature is in the 1.6 version only!!)

• Added a new email tag [BASE_FEE]. This will show the base individual fee for the event... before any other fees or discounts are calculated in.

• Both the French and Dutch language files have been updated for more complete out-of-the-box translations. New language tags are added to all frontend and backend language files.

• Fixed the multiple event registration issue that was introduced in version 2.7.7. Also there had been a problem when having a paid event in the cart, then adding a free one. This is also fixed.

• Modified the [ALL_FIELDS] email tag to allow the inclusion of textual field types. Also fixed the issue where textual fields were not properly being included on the confirmation page when that option was enabled for the field.

• Fixed the new custom redirect option for free events. For free events, the global redirect was used even when the event had a custom redirect enabled. Fixed.

• Fixed issue where the billing phone number was not being passed on to Authorize.net.

• For those that didn't see, we released updates as "a" and "b" for the 2.7.7 package so see the announcements category in the forum to see other items that were added or fixed in those updates.

Where can I download these updates??

Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file. Important note is you will need to have upgraded first.

Joomla 1.7 Update:

We are glad to put a 1.6 version in your laps now, but 1.7 support isn't quite ready. We are now going through the new version within 1.7 to iron out any remaining snags. We do not anticipate this to take very long. So another update will be available very soon! For those of you that use DT Donate or other DT extensions... we will be releasing 1.6/1.7 versions of them also. Work on those will begin once DT Register is completely ready to go.
