We are happy to announce the release of DT Register 2.7.4, now available. We've been incredibly busy addressing issues as they have been discovered, and also making various improvements based on your input and requests. Most of the enhancements come in the area of the calendar and we know you'll like them! We've also inlcuded many various fixes. In the 2.7.3 series, we had 3 sub-releases so check the announcements forum to see what you might have missed there. Coming from 2.7.3c, here are the changes you will see...
- Added new payment gateway called USA ePay. This includes an eCheck option also, similar to Authorize.net. By the way, did you notice in 2.7.3b that we added PSiGate (a new pay option for USA and Canada users)?
- Added new parameter to allow the display of the event image inside of the calendar view. You can set a separate max height and width to control how big it shows.
- Added new parameter to enable a popup in the calendar when you hover over an item. The popup has another list of parameters so you can control what shows in the details. This can include the event image, date, time, location, moderator, capacity, number registered, space available, and price.
- Added new email tag [TRANS_ID] so you can include the payment transaction ID number in your emails.
- Added a new module DT Cart. This is optional, but if you use the multiple event registration feature to have the cart option, you will want this module. It will show the current events in the cart, along with a total running price AND a link to return to the cart at any time.
- Added new options in the Email Registrants feature. You can now filter to send the email to registrants based on payment status, registration status, or attended status.
- Modified the frontend event management so the event owner dropdown no longer displays. The owner will automatically be assigned as the user that creates the event. Backend management still shows the owner option.
- Modified the event price display for group registrations on the confirmation page... when a FLAT RATE is setup (instead of per person), the price now displays correctly instead of showing it in a per person format still.
- Modified JQuery usage to reduce the possibilities of conflicts with other plugins or template settings.
- Modified the payment option page when Pay Later is in use. When you select any pay later item in the dropdown, it now automatically selects the Pay Later radio button for you.
- Modified field option for designating if the field is shown in the frontend attendee's list. Firstname and Lastname were required before, but no longer. Also, the attendee list will now automatically filter out any field that is not used in the event that is currently being viewed.
- Added new language tag instructions in the user panel when editing group records to help clarify what the user needs to do to update their group and submit the changes.
- Fixed issue where field values in a record were sometimes lost when the selected value had hit the selection limit.
- Fixed issue where an unpublished event still showed a register button in the JEvents details view (for events syncing with JEvents).
- Fixed issue in backend event management where the publish icon wasn't working.
- Fixed the captcha reload image so it loads relative instead of absolute... which will keep it from triggering that annoying secure/unsecure warning seen in IE.
- Fixed issue where field selection limits were being ignored when editing records in the frontend user panel.
- Fixed issue in the user panel so editing a record only sends the user to payment options if a change fee needs to be paid.
- Fixed issue where a small number of sites still had issues with the thank you message appearing onscreen after registration.
- Fixes applied to eWay and iDeal Rabobank payment options.
- Fixed made to the backend permissions matrix when viewed in the Safari browser.
- Fixed the pagination for backend event management.
- Fixed the category filters on the calendar view. Clicking a filter was refreshing the calendar back to the current month. Now it will remain in whatever view you are already in.
- Fixed the calendar view when many events show on the same day and causes a link to show to view all of the events. Added a missing language tag and corrected the links on the popup that shows all of the events for that day.
- To see the other numerous fixes and enhancements in the various 2.7.3 builds (and before), see the announcements category of our forum where each package update is given a new thread with full details of what was included.
Where can I download these updates??
Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file. Important note is you will need to have upgraded first.
Joomla 1.6 Update:
No, this new release does NOT add support yet for Joomla 1.6. We had to move away for 1.6 for a bit to address some of the issues that you see announced and fixed here. Having a 1.6 ready version is our main priority at this point. Stay tuned... we'll have it ASAP. Please do not continually ask in the forum and email when it will be ready. We do not have a date that we can comfortably provide at this point. When we do, you will know :)
SUPPORT TICKET UPDATES:
As with any update package, we have addressed all known issues, so any outstanding ticket may very well be fixed with this update. If you have a ticket that you feel has been neglected and 2.7.4 doesn't fix it, please send us an email about it and we'll track it down!
