Well, the moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived... DT Register 2.7 is here!! Yes, you heard correctly! We've been working for many months on this massive overhaul on what was already the best Joomla event registration solution. Now, it is really the ONLY solution. Are you ready for a very long list of new features and enhancements? Get comfortable... get yourself something to drink... you may be reading for a bit here...
BRAND NEW FEATURES IN 2.7.0:
- New built-in calendar. JEvents is no longer required to run DT Register! You can now sync with JEvents as an OPTION, but if you so desire, you can uninstall it and never look back. You can display your events in the standard event listing format or the new calendar view. When you install the new 2.7, a migration process will take place to move necessary data into the new database structure. Existing events that have been migrated from an earlier version will remain synced to JEvents, but there is a "Remove JEvents Sync" button in the new control panel that will remove ALL sync with JEvents. Events will remain, but no longer be connected to the other component.
- New Control Panel in backend that allows you to easily navigate to various functions as well as providing links to other important items like video tutorials.
- Permissions - you can now give a very detailed set of permissions and designate who is able to perform what functions on the frontend and backend of DT Register. It is set by Joomla user group (registered, author... manager, administrator, etc) but then you can also give unique permissions to individual users.
- Repeating Event Support - You can set events to repeat daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, all with various options. You don't have to ask about repeating events any more. It's there now!
- Fields Manager - no more default fields vs custom fields. Now you have full management of ALL fields... labels, field types, ordering... all together however you want them. You can also set a custom email tag for each field. On install, the State and Country fields are loaded as dropdown fields that you can easily manage.
- Frontend Event Management - based on the permissions you set, users can now manage events, discount codes, fields and pay options on the frontend through the new event management control panel.
- Multiple Event Registration - after proceeding from the confirmation page, you will see your event in a cart view. Then you can either proceed to checkout or click to return and register for another event. When finished, you can then make ONE payment for all registrations in the cart.
- Dynamic Price Display & Fee Breakdown - during the registration process, the cost displayed at the top will change dynamically as the user makes any changes that add or subtract from the total cost. Then the confirmation page has the option now to display a full fee breakdown showing everything that has been calculated into the final cost.
- Event Thumbnail Image - you can now upload an image to be displayed in the event listing display.
- Event Owner/Moderator - you can select any one of your site users to be the owner of the event. That user can be displayed on the frontend as the event moderator, and he/she will also have administrative rights on the frontend for the event.
- Custom Admin Notification Email - you now have full control over the admin notification email, so you can set what data is included and how it is displayed. The subject is also customizable and can include the event name and/or date.
- Profile Sync - You can now sync ANY field from your Community Builder or JomSocial profile with ANY field in DT Register.
- Group Registration options added - now setup group registration as Simple or Detailed. Simple means you will enter the number of members, then checkout. Detailed is what DT Register always had, where you enter data for each group member.
- Fee Ordering - with a drag/drop popup window, you can adjust the ordering of all items that bring fees and discounts for each event.
- Pay Options Manager - instead of setting payment settings within the main configuration and having the same settings optionally in the event to confuse the admin, now you setup a pay option and name it. You can create as many as needed. Then in the event, you select the payment profile just like you select a category or location.
- Sage Payment Gategory has been added as an option for processing payments.
- All date settings within events (late fee date, open date, etc) now have time settings so you can be more specific than just giving a date.
- Waiting List revamp - the old waiting list form is gone. Now a full event can send someone to the full registration form with the full event message on top. Fees are calculated but no payments made. The user record is created with a status of "Waiting". Then if space opens up, you can change the record status so the user moves from waiting to an actual registrant. When migrating to 2.7, the old waiting list people are the only thing that is NOT migrated.
- Added ability to set a minimum group size.
- Added Email field type with ability to enable a confirmation field.
- Added ability to set in each field whether or not it will trigger a change fee in the user panel if the user makes a change to that field.
- Added ability to set in a textual field whether or not it will be displayed on the confirmation page.
- MVC structure - the entire component has been re-written in the MVC file structure which will make it easier for ongoing development as well as people making their own customizations, layout changes, etc.
- JomSocial plugins updated to support the brand new JomSocial 2.0 release.
- Categories now have new options: Color, which is used as the background color in the calendar view; Status, which allows you publish/unpublish categories and cause all included events to display or not; Access Level, which allows you to set who can VIEW events within the category (public, registered, or special).
- Group discount rate settings in the event are much improved as you can add / remove pricing levels at any time, not only at event creation. Also you can set fees as a flat rate instead of basing solely on the number of group members.
- Each field can be set to be displayed as part of the frontend attendee's list and also the backend list of group members from a group registration.
- User Panel display can easily be modified... setting each column to hide or show so you can easily remove any portion of the user panel that you don't need.
- Cancel Fees and Change Fees can be configured now per event instead of globally.
- CSV Export will no longer show events that have been archived. Also as you move to the page of selecting fields, only fields that are used in the selected event(s) will show to be selected. Transaction ID is also able to be included now.
- Pay Later options are now fully controlled in the pay option system. No more changing pay later options in the language file. Change them in the backend. Also feel free to add as many pay later options as you need.
- Auto User Creation is now set per event instead of globally. You can also specify (per event) if it is required or optional.
- No Registration option - set the Registration Open date for an event to a future date after the event date and no Register or Closed button will show.
- If you use one of the auto ordering options, now a newly created event will be placed in appropriate order based on that setting.
- New PDF Support Manual! This manual isn't 100% complete, but it will still be a big help to those that prefer a written manual. We'll be adding more to the manual as we go, adding screenshots, etc, but we've made it available.
- Video Tutorials have been redone and are now located on YouTube. We are using YouTube to give everyone better ability to view and move through the videos. We have also broken up some of the longer videos into smaller pieces.
- Install Service: $25
- Upgrade existing install to 2.7: $35
- Style DT Register calendar: $35
