Trying to tidy up this mess, I was going to give my people a 100% discount code and ask them to enter the data again (obviously the intention being to capture the missing data but bypass paypal)....
The discount code applies itself nicely taking the payment down to 0 - BUT the customer is then still taken to PayPal which gives an error saying 'Enter an Amount to Pay'.... If I recall 2.6.9 did a fine job of realising that if there's nothing to pay, then there's no point going to PayPal.....
DT Admin - I don't want to swamp you with more tickets - Can you confirm you'll pick this one up from here?
New problem now... I am no longer getting the pay pal emails. I believe the transactions are going through since I tested it myself and I received the receipt to my customer email. Also, the transaction IDs are showing up in the back end. This worries me since I didn't make any changes to the paypal account at all. If I'm not getting the emails any more, there's no way for me to tell as someone else manages the actual pay pal account.
If the backend stuff screws up again, people will lose money, this is NOT GOOD.
Ok, ignore my previous email about not getting email from Pay Pal. Other people may see that issue as well, but it LOOKS like PayPal is running about FIVE HOURS behind in sending emails to my payment account.
I'm not sure if others are seeing it, but be patient and wait 24 hours.
As for the back button fix, that is awesome! I knew that was what was causing weirdness on our side, but hitting back does that with many apps, so I was willing to put up with it.
jstephens - we noticed the delays today in emails from PayPal too. It's not a DT Register issue. It's something with PayPal itself. Guess even the big guys have issues sometimes
