Although we are working hard on the upcoming 2.7 package of DT Register, we have a new release for you now in the form of 2.6.7! We are excited to put this in your hands as it not only addresses some bugs, but it adds some fabulous new features. Once again, DT Register brings new functionality that you can't find in any other event registration solution for Joomla. We continue to listen to your feedback and requests and do our best to work those elements in.
NEW FEATURES:
- Auto Joomla User Creation!! Yes, it's finally here. You can enable/disable this feature. When enabled, if the person registering for the event is not already logged in, the form adds a username and password field at the bottom. That info, combined with the existing email field, is used to create the Joomla user login account when the registration is completed. If you have Community Builder or JomSocial in place, the new user will also be added into those components. Default field data from the registration form will also be populated into the new user profile for either CB or JS.
- New Confirmation Number options - previously the confirmation number that was automatically generated for every record was random and included a hard-coded prefix. Now, you can specify the prefix (if you have one at all) and choose if the number will be random or sequential. If it is sequential, you can provide the starting number.
- New email tags - Three new email tags are now available for the custom email messages. [LOCATION_DETAILS] shows the address, phone, etc from your event's location. Then [USERNAME] and [PASSWORD] can be used to show the login user info that was created with the new user creation feature. The password tag only works in thank you emails.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS SINCE 2.6.6:
- Reduced the number of database queries being made by the component and module. This will still be improved further in 2.7, but there is some decent improvement on this now.
- Fixed the Terms & Conditions message so links work correctly when linking to something on the same domain. Also, corrected the extra spacing that was generated between paragraphs.
- Conditional custom field ordering issue corrected.
- Country is now included in the [CONTACT_DETAILS] email tag.
- PayPal IPN was not working correctly for payments made through the frontend user panel. Fixed.
- Fixed a database error that showed for some users that have JomSocial integration enabled, but the site was still looking for Community Builder :)
- Upcoming Events Module updated to 2.8. Changes were made for database query reduction.
- EventLink Plugin updated to 2.6.4. Changes were made to improve usage while SEF was enabled, and also to make sure the Register button remained active in articles until the event is OVER instead of removing itself after the event begins.
- JomSocial plugin for showing Registration history in the profile is updated to 1.1. "Registered Events" has been moved into the language file instead of being hard-coded like it previously was.
Where can I download these updates??
Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file.
