DT Register version 3.2.5 is now available for download from My Orders, or from the Joomla update system! This week, Joomla released an update to version 3.8.2, which those who ran the update found completely broke DT Register! 

The core of the issue was some variables that DT Register has always used have now become protected variables for core Joomla. So that created a fair amount of work for us to adjust accordingly... all throughout the component.

FIXES IN DT REGISTER 3.2.5:

As stated, we had to revamp variable usage throughout the entire component, and most of our modules and plugins for DT Register. MANY files have been updated in this process to get everything back in working order. Once you update to the new 3.2.5, you'll be back in business if you have already updated Joomla. However, please note that if you have any files in the component, modules or plugins that you have customized or have template overrides in place for, you MUST check the new files to see if your modified file has been updated. All modified files will show version 3.2.5 in the top of the PHP file. If you find a file was updated in this package that you have a customized version in place for, you MUST take the new file and re-apply your customizations. This is of course something you should always check when updating, but in this case, so many files were updated that this is a critical checkpoint for your update. Now, if you have not customized any files, you can simply update and go about your day. :)

PAYMENT GATEWAY INFO:

Don't forget... many payment gateways have been removed from the core DT Register component and moved into separate plugins. Payment gateways that are still built into the component will be moved into plugins in future updates as well. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING JOOMLA 2.5:

While we have long discontinued development of DT Register for Joomla 2.5, we have maintained limited support. With the release of Joomla 3.8, and with Joomla 4 on the way, we are discontinuing 2.5 support completely.

Where can I download these updates??

Glad you asked... Within Joomla 3.x, you should see the warning from the Updates component showing you the new DT Register update. You can easily update through there! Or, as always, you can login to our site, and go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file.
