TOPIC: [SOLVED] Custom field ordering is broken

Ok can anyone reproduce several issues I'm having with the ordering of custom fields in the admin? The only option available to sort the order of the fields is via drag and drop. I can no longer manually type the order number as it is not an editable field. Secondly, there is a maximum of 20 fields that can be displayed on a single page with no option to display all or set the number of fields that can be viewed. Third, and most critically, the order that I set the fields to using the drag and drop are not being saved when I use the pagination controls to switch between the views. Also they appear to randomly resort themselves on just a refresh of the same page. This is making it impossible to create a new event now that the number of fields has exceeded 20. The front end display is also not corresponding to the sort order as it appears in the backend.

Any ideas? Is anyone else seeing this? Very frustrating.

What I have had to do is go to another list, such as the event list, change the number the number to display on that list to something more than 20, then go back to the custom field list and then more than 20 items will be displayed.

We are experiencing the same problem with ordering the fields (Installed Version: 3.0.2b, Joomla version, 3.1.1.). I was just wondering whether you have found a solution to the problem with ordering fields (Fields Management – as described in your message above). I cannot see any responses from DTH.
This problem is not only frustrating but most importantly makes the DT Register useless if this function is not working correctly and reliably.
It used to work fine in earlier versions of DT Register.

This is really a problem. But my fields page is only showing 10 fields at time.
I need to get this fixed ASAP.
