TOPIC: 2.7 release?

Realistically, are you going to have 2.7 out this week? I have a client that has been waiting weeks for a feature that I promised based on assurances of the new version being release this month. It's now November and now word yet. I'm not blaming you at all, I just need to have a little honesty and I'll be on my way.

Will there be a version out this week or should I explore other options?

I'm with you on this. I've been stalling for a month with a client. I need a FIRM date - even if it's weeks or months out, I just need to have a realistic timeframe...

Yes - me also - I just need a truly realistic time, as we have issues we have to plan around.

I have been waiting for something towards the end of August and was under the impression that for sure a September release would happen...now it's November. I have been checking back and forth on this site and even subscribed to Twitter feed, and I am starting to feel like something needs to be set in stone for this release. From my understanding it has been under "Final Testing" for about 3 months now.

We have not been in FINAL testing for 3 months Yes, it has taken much longer to finish than expected, and you'll understand why once you all get it.

There are some elements of 2.7 that we thought were done and ready, but in final testing determined that they were going to cause some issues, so we had to rehash some things... causing further delay. I know that many people are waiting, but no one wants this out more than we do. We're working extremely hard to finish and to make sure that it is out by the end of this week.
