When I view the "Registration Records Manager" list for a specific event, there are some fields that don't show any content.

These fields are:- Registrant's Name, Email and Members

Now I'm assuming that the registrant's name and email fields should get populated from the registration form... right? But it's not.

Can anyone possibly suggest what I might have done wrong or need to check please?

My site is running Joomla 2.5.4, DT Register 2.7.16 and I'm using Community Builder 1.8 to auto-populate some of the form fields for logged in members. (so far only registered members have submitted the DT Register form, so it's their registrations that are not showing in the Registration Records Manager )

This would be due to not using correct form fields. The records list is hard-coded to use the default fields "firstname" and "lastname" for the name column and the default "email" field for that column. In the current version, it's not possible to set this the wrong way, but you could have set them otherwise in an older version and already had it saved that way when upgrading.

Each of these three fields must be used for both individual and group registrations. For group registrations, they must be set to either "Billing Info" or "Members & Billing".

Check and re-save the default settings for these fields in the setup of each field. Then check your events. Open and re-save each event... making sure that they are set to use those three fields as default... OR that you set it appropriately if not default.

Once it is set correctly, you'll see that you won't be able to put it back to the an incorrect selection.

If you were using fields you created in place of the default ones, that data will NOT show for name and email in the records listing. This is the problem though. Just setup, not a bug or anything goofy :)

Thanks again for the reply.

This is the first time I've used DT Register and as such is not an update, so I guess the default values should be in place...right?

What I've done is:-
1) created a category
2) created a location
3) created and event
4) created some form fields for the registration form

Along with some other fields, I did create a "Firstname" "Surname" and "Email" field.

Should I have done this? Is this where I've gone wrong?

Did you not have any fields by default after install? You should have already had firstname, lastname, email and other basic contact fields. If they did not load for some reason on install... this would be the source of the issue.

If those fields existed, you would have been unable to NOT use them. So since you created these fields yourself, you just need to modify them to use the intended field name (not the label that is seen, but the database NAME of the field). This will solve the issue.

DT Register won't allow you to change field names, so you'll have to make that change directly in your database. Go to the table jos_dtregister_fields (where jos_ is whatever your database prefix is) and find your created fields. Change the names to (all lowercase) firstname, lastname, and email.

Then you should be set. If you need further help, I'd suggest going through a ticket. Thanks.

To be honest I can't remember if those fields were there or not after the initial install, but I'll take a look at the database and ensure the names of those fields are correct.

Just a quick note to say I've followed your excellent instructions and it worked a treat!

Many thanks and FYI, my client commented today saying that this was the easiest registration form ever! They love it.
