We are using DT Register 7.5c and have received several blank emails and corresponding blank records have been recorded in the database. The record email and record also indicate a free registration. We do not have any free registrations.

We are using a custom notification email for the event organizer.

A copy of one of the emails is below:

I just had something similar happen but the registration data was all collected for the user. When I look at the registration record payment information in the back end it is showing:

PAID: Yes
Amount Paid: 0
Amount: 0
Payment Method: Please Select Payment Method

The amount should be $72 and I do not have any coupons that would zero out the price.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. The custom has had it with me and this software. It gives students free signups.

Is there a refund if not satisfied policy? I am now REALLY SORRY I bought this software.

I to have had this issue twice in 2.7.5f(never had it before 2.7.5f) have now upgraded to 2.7.6. so hoping git will stop.

As previous people say I get all registration details but the payment goes down as free.

I know one of the people well so asked him what happened he said he filled in all details and hit next, and was returned to the home page, never got to the payment selection page.

He has since re-registered and all worked fine. I am having ~5 registrations a day and this has only happened twice.

Regards

Andrew

This issue of customers going though registration when the event should be paid for is still happenning in 2.7.6a.

I have been using DTregister for over two years and this has always been an occassional problem for me. In fact this problem plus the duplicate record problem discussed elsewhere means I have to check every single registration to ensure that one or other problem hasn't occured. This is not a huge deal for us as our events generally have no more than 50 registrants over several weeks but I imagine it would be annoying for a high number of registrants.

Having queried people for whom this has occurred in the past my STRONG suspicion is that it occurs when the browser is left for a "long" period with data in the form. I have assumed that the problem occurs when they then return to the form and click next but some session time limit has expired. For example, the person completing the form gets distracted or needs to go and find some information needed for the form and thus leaves it semi completed for a period. A possible alternative is that they never complete the form and DTregister allows a "phantom" registration but this seems less likely.

This is a very difficult issue to pin down however  It would be good if the developers could test both scenarios though
Cheers
Bernard
