TOPIC: Amount not showing up

Ian, can you confirm the $ is causing the problem and give us an emergency fix.

I have been chasing this bug forEVER, almost a year now. Clients are really pissed about this. I *hope* the $ is the problem.

Here\'s what I found:

In dtdonate.php, in the section of Javascript checks, the validation functions for donation amounts are commented out. Search for:

// kamlesh

and

/*tasol

If you uncomment them, the donaters are forced to enter a number without a dollar sign here. I even added alert text that said \"Do not enter the dollar sign.\"

This is as far as I am willing to go without some official word that this is indeed the problem. By the way, this is on J1.0.

guys... we can confirm that the $ IS the problem and are working on a fix.

I do apologize for the delay and frustration on this. DT Donate has unfortunately fallen to the side in recent months as DT Register has taken so much of our time and time itself has been hard to come by these days. We are partially through a new update to DT Donate that has some bug fixes and a few new features. It had been on the table a few months ago, was knocked off the table and we\'re now trying to get it rolling again. Thank you for your patience.

In the meantime, we\'ll get a fix for this specific issue right away.

We have updated the download packages of DT Donate... having been modified to address this issue.

If you want to manually modify your file, open the dtdonate.php file from:
/components/com_dtdonate/dtdonate.php

Take the new file from the extracted files from the DT Donate download package. Search the dtdonate.php file for this:

// Do not allow special characters in the amount field

Copy this line and the next 6 lines up to the line of slashes. Paste it into your own file after this line:

var frm= document.payfrm;

I tried the fix, it does not seem to resolve the issue. In the future if you update a release package please change the version number.

Months later and it's still not fixed?
That's crazy.
I just purchased, installed and tested.
All seemed good.
Donate > Paypal > Confirm @ site, but no amount or DATE recorded.

I guess I should have read the forums more carefully before purchasing.

Any word on when this will be fixed?
