TOPIC: [ADDED] Automatic email reminders

I concur. This capability would be very helpful for us. I would like to send emails before events on some schedule. Ideally, I would like it to work like a Yahoo or google group email reminder, where I can set 1 or 2 emails to go out a day or so or a week before an event.

One twist I have is that I would like to be able to send those emails to an email address (basically a mailman list), and not just to those registered. The reason for this is because I would like to add events on my DTRegister calendar (like meetings) that do not require registration, but still can have email reminders. Frankly I have looked and looked and cannot figure out a way to do this with any Joomla-based technology at this point, without some serious custom programming. DTRegister already has all the info about the events, I just need it to send emails to those registered and to one or more addresses not registered.

I agree, i'd really like to be able to automatically send out payment reminder emails to people who haven't paid by 2 weeks before the event starts

This is one of the few things that I think DT Register lacks. How soon is ASAP? Thanks for all the work you do, even without Reminders DT Register is one of the best. Of course it would be the absolute BEST if it could do reminders!
