TOPIC: [ADDED] Automatic email reminders

Any luck with this yet?

Would love to have this feature to help close the deal with a client. It's the only sticking point left in my pitch to push this extension.

I also would love to see some kind of capability to automatically send out reminder emails to registrants similar to how google calendar does.

It would be great to have the feature be able to send out email reminders with a choice of times (1 day before, 1 hour before, etc).

I realize there is already a email notification tool, but its manual and with many events it would be difficult to administer on an ongoing basis.

I've seen other event extensions use cron jobs.

Any ideas if this feature in on the radar?

I was also thinking an ical export feature would also be pretty useful so users can use there own calendar settings to help remind them of events.

In version 2.7.18, we added a robust auto email reminder and follow up feature!! Existing users are going to love this. Setup a cron job to trigger the emails. You create as many reminder emails as you need. Set the number of days prior to an event for the email to be triggered. This can also be a negative number so the email can be sent AFTER the event as a follow up! Nice, huh? Further, these emails will apply to all events unless you specify the email for a specific event. Even further, you can upload attachments to each of these emails.
