TOPIC: Prevent Duplicate Registrations

This is a pretty important feature. Its especially confusing for users when considering events that allow registrations 6 months or more in advance. Sometimes you just forget that you registered already and sign up again, including making a payment! Lets prevent duplicate registrations.

I second this. CiviCRM has configurable matching rules based on some combination of the lastname, firstname, and email. Maybe it's easier...if we force only registered users, you only need a unique key on the database table. Anyway, Please! Ken

Seriously?!? You can have duplicate registrations? That's a killer for me, I can't use this now. And it sucks since this is the first one I found with a waiting list.

This is on our list of items to add/fix this week. We'll have an update released sometime this week with a handful of items, this being one of them.

As of version 2.2.2, a duplicate registration check is now in place!
