TOPIC: Integrate event registration and user registration

We would like each event attendee to also have a site login. To get this now I have to set DTR to Registered group access. This makes it a two-step process with an email validation in the middle.

What would be really swell would be if DTR added a login name field on the registration info page and populated the Joomla user database with that and all the other info collected. That way the email verification comes after we collect the fee and event registration goes a lot smoother.

The devil is in the details, though. DTR would have to do duplicate login name detection like CB does and set the enabled and confirmed fields correctly. Can DTR inherit methods from CB to do this? That would make it too easy.
