TOPIC: Member Discount from Joomla Permissions

Someone else mentioned this in the Joomla 1.5 forum...

My clients want to give Member Discounts based on Joomla permissions. This way only 'Authors' or paid members of our organization are eligible for the discount.

My clients don't want to give out discount codes to the 200+ paid members, but also can't give the member discounts the way they are set up now as there are 4000+ members of the site.

Is this in the works at all, or is there a hack? Thanks!
