TOPIC: pending registration

It would be great if the registration could be in 'pending mode' once they create a registration.

There are times when paypal waits 24-48 hours to process that payment, during that time, although you get an email from paypal that the payment is pending, you can not see the actual registration record, which (if you are using the custom fields), could have important info about the event.

I, too, would like to see this. I'm dealing with complaints of "it didn't work" quite often and it always turns out that PayPal is status pending. I wonder if there is a way for DTRegister to know if that is happening?

I would recommend at this time that you set your paypal account to NOT accept echeck payments. This is where pending payments come from. If you disable this, all payments will have to use immediate forms, such as credit card, debit card, or direct bank draft. We did this to our own paypal account as we have regular complaints of component purchases not being completed because their payment was pending. Disabling echeck in paypal was a great move on our part.
