Hi everybody,
once again here one of my wishes, I´d like to know if other Users have the same needs.
I personally still don´t really like the main-page that users see.
1. The table-size can only be changed for the "name-of-event"-field. But in fact, the proportions on my site are terrible: The "name of the event" is going over three lines, because it is to small, when I extend it in the backend the date-fields are getting smaller, in the same time the "max places" and the "already registered" are way too big.
2. The description on the main-page ... is not the nicest place. I would prefear a hover-it on the site or something like that. By putting it "under" the event the whole structure is messed up, many participants don´t realize if the text belongs to the "upper" Event or to the one on the bottom. It would make sense to make it a thinner font, maybe italic, but the css seems to be the same as the title of the event. Uh ...
3. The "sign-in-link" is difficult to find. I had some users who didn´t realize that they have to click on the name to sign in. In fact, I would like to have a "klick-here-to-register"-Button beside each event on the right of the table. And beside the "register-button" there also should be the "information-button" which links to an article.
4. The Date is missing some formats. For germany: dd.mm.yyyy. I manualy hardcodet it in dt-register.php, but this makes sense to have it done from the developers-side.
5. I have one very special need, but possibly others also have it, so I just want to mention it: I have events that take place in parts. So the first part is in January, the second part in february.
I thought a lot about how this could be solved. My Idea would be: Connect more then one event to one DT-Register-Events. Meaning: The "Master-Event" will ever be the first defined event. But then, if you have the Event in DT Register already, you can simply "add more events" from JEvents to DT Register.
There is not very much to do when an event is connected like this. My onlinest goal is to have the "second date" also in the "date-field" in the table. This could be a nice solution to have that.
Sure, the last point is really very special. But however ... possibly there are some other users who also would need it, and if it is so, it would be a great feature for DT Register. Because I never (!) saw a software that could handele multipart-Events.
Imagine a dancing-course, which takes place once a week for 10 weeks. Imagine a seminar that takes place in two parts. There are some good points for that, where most of the users only put in the first date.
By "connecting slave-events" to the "master-event" inside of DT-Register this could be solved beautifully.
Best wishes, Julian!
