TOPIC: Who needs "execute script"?

Hi everybody,

since years I am begging Nathan (the developer) for a customization: I like to run a script after a user registeres. So I like to have an option in the Backend: "Execute this script after registration" and then a text-box where I can insert the script.

The script should be able to get the variables from DT-Register and it can be used for plenty things:

- Signing the user into a newsletter on registration
- Record a sale for an affiliate-system
- Move him into a special usergroup in a forum
- Put his data into the Joomla-Userdatabase

Sure, you must code the script, I don´t expect DT Register to do everything. But having a place to put a script in would make it much easier.

Even better: Two places. One for gereral always execute after a registration (for example your newsletter, where you want to put everybody in, no care about which event it was) and a second place for a script inside of an event, so the script will only be executed when somebody signs in inside of that special event. This is usefull if you want to put all users, who signed up into a special event, to a connected forum or something like that.

This is somethign FacileForm has, so it is not "too special". I always thought that this is a real individual customization, but in fact, I would like to ask if there are others also interested in that feature.
