After studying both JEvents and Eventlist I have to admit that Eventlist is far more flexible, easier to understand, better user interface and cleaner. I purchased DT register because I need to charge for the events but I don\'t like Jevents. Too complex!

Any news with the integration of Eventlist?

EventList has its own annoyances but, hands down, my users all hated using JEvents. The UI is really antiquated. My users don't typically have events during the summer so I hope there's compatibility by September because I definitely would not mind completely deleting JEvents.

EventList compatibility might also pressure DTRegister developers to spruce up this interface as well. It's 2009. The Joomla 1.0 look and feel is about as cool as Windows 98. That's not a shot at the devs here - I'm aware of the complexities of this component - but, at the end of the day, these products are chosen for the end users. And end users couldn't care less what's happening in the back-end. They want something easy and pretty.

yes, i think the main drive was to get DT Register joomla 1.5 native. Now that has happened, i think (and hope) that other feature requests like the inclusion of Eventlist support will occur.

As most people would be aware JEvents looks and feels old and outdated. Eventlist is pretty much the standard now for J1.5 sites and has been integrated with Jomsocial and CB, so has got a lot bigger following and is more widespread now than JEvents.

Anyway, hopefully the devs will seriously consider this sometime in the not too distant future.

OK, I agree. I would also change to EventList as soon as DT-Register offers that Option.

But one thing would be important: I have many Events set up in JEvents. When changing to EventsLIst I at least must be able to "re-connect" an Event which was handeled in JEvents to a new event which is handeled in EventList.
