But honestly: Wouldn´t it make more sense if DT-Register would orientate theire frontpage-layout on EventList and built up an own Date-handling inside of DT-Register?

In fact, I use JEvents ONLY for DT Regiser and JEvents is not published at the frontend. The connection to external components makes also trouble, because DT Register must always connect to them and keep an eye on theire DB-Structure.

After some thoughts about EventList I think it would make much more sense like this:

- DT Register is handling it´s own Events, which must not be set up in JEvents or in EventList

- DT REgister can import every Event from JEvents or EventList. Meaning: You can use the "old" way by creating the Event in JEvents and then choosing it in DT REgister. But DT Register for my opinion should not "connect" it, it should "copy" the data into it´s own database and then handle it itself.

This makes it much easier to handele EventList also, because to integrate a simple "copying" is much quicker then the need of working togehter with two different components.

After this is done some integrateions can be published as modules: JEvents showing the prices and the free places from DT Register or EventList having the "register-link" beside theire events.

Makes sense?

this is a good idea!!

I dont want to use DT Register for upcoming projects as I dont want to install JEvents. So it would be good if DT Register could do it all in one package. I do however have Eventlist on these sites so it would be good to be able to import these eventlist events into the DT Register system.

Hope we can hear somethign from the devs soon :)

I would like to add my "vote" for the ability to integrate EventList with DT Register. I have used JEvents but the functionality and presentation of EventList (integrated with DT Register) is exactly what I need.
Happy to be a "tester" if this could help the project along - can't help with code I'm afraid.

I would also like to register my vote for integration with eventlist.

Is it still something you plan to do? If so will it be ready soon - this post seems to have been started a very long time ago. Not that I am complaining mind you, I think the latest version is great but it would be such a great addition.
