TOPIC: Coding

I know how much people hate to hear a critique of their coding but
I would really like to see cleaner code. it very difficult to find anything in the php files if you need to make a modification.
There are no notations or comments in there anywhere.

Maybe if I used a certain IDE would i be able to find things easier?

Thoughts?
