TOPIC: Event with message "not possible to register"

Hi, yes just what the subject says! Let me explain with 7 words: Some events just plainly not need registering!

That is... As you made the brilliant move to add most of JEvents' capabilities to DT REgister, we folks do not need JEvents anymore. Except... In my case, some events take registrations trough DT Register. For others, the public just has to turn up or then someone else handles the registration. For these latter ones, I would need a way to display the events in question in DT Registers list of events, DT Registers calendar aso, but I do not want to offer a way to register, only a link regarding where to register or turn up aso (joomla article as possible already).

As there is no Vote button on this forum, please make the DTH lads aware of the possible need to implement this function by replying to this topic!

Ben, surprised that you didn't know this is already possible

Set the "Registration Open Date" for an event to any date AFTER the event is over. It will make sure that registration is never activated... but the event is still listed.

Assign a "details article" to the event so users can link to more info about the event and provide links to any outside registration that may be needed.
