We just used DT Register for some big events, which take place every year.

One of the learnings is that we absolutely NEED a QR-Code instead of barcode, as the speed and accuracy of scanning with an app like Codereadr is much better with QR Codes.

We will only use DT Register again next year if it can support QR codes by then.
