I would like to be able to distinguish Registered users from my "Members"

Member discount to apply to the ACL group, but registered and logged in people can still run the cart and look up the events they have registered for.

It the moment I can only let members log in and take advantage of their Events control panel.

This is really important for us. We develop websites for professional associations and we've selected DT Register as our event/training registration system and it does almost all of what we want. We run into trouble where an association has different event prices for say "full member" "student member" "associate member" and then a couple of others for non-members e.g. student and other.

We need the ability to set the event price by Joomla's ACL user group's so once a person is logged in, the base price they pay is dependent on their user group, and this is assigned automatically.

We currently have to set this up as selectable options and there is nothing to stop someone from dishonestly selecting the cheapest pricing option. This means that the event administrator (usually a volunteer) has to double check all event payments against membership records and then spend time chasing up and getting extra money from those who selected the wrong option. We are getting significant flack from some clients for not having this working the way they would expect. To them it seems a simple thing to do, "Why can't it just...?" and they do not understand that this is a difficult customisation.

It is our strategic direction to continue to grow our association clientele. We want DT Register to be a part of every site we build for this group, but if a competitor's component came along that gave us pricing based on ACL (and the other things we need) we would have to go with them.
There must be others needing this sort of function as well. Perhaps they haven't taken DT Register on board because of this, and you might not get a huge number asking for the feature, but it would give your product a serious market edge to have it implemented.

Basically we need this function today. Our latest client is complaining long and loud and it really is beyond our ability to customise this function in.
Heck, I would be prepared to help put in some finance to get this done.

Anyone else need a function like this? Put your thoughts here.

The ability to use the Joomla ACL for the display of events would be great. Right now Event Status is limited to Public or Private. Private is defined to someone who is logged in. For our need, it would be great if Event Status was connected with user Groups.

We are using groups to define the difference between someone who is a paid member with and active membership and someone who has registered but is not a paid member or whose membership has expired.

We have events where you don't need to have an active membership to register for it and we have others where you must have an active membership in order to register for it.

The basic scenarios would be:

If you are in group Registered, you can register for event A
If you are in group Membership A, you can register for Event A, B, and C
If you are in group Membership B, you can register for Event A, and C
