For those of us who customized DTRegister a patch-based upgrade is a God send. Who has time to start from scratch every time there is a new version (which happens quite often)?

We would be very grateful if you could publish your upgrades also as patches from the previous release.

I agree with this one. Uninstalling and reinstalling ALWAYS breaks menu items to the component. It's annoying.

Yes, agreed. This would be a good improvement. I've got a number of modified files and it is time consuming to go and thoroughly make sure all the changes are re-installed after an upgrade is done.

Also, the more things that can be modified through the application itself, e.g. language file, and these settings kept through a version upgrade, the less that needs to be done after an upgrade to make sure that nothing is broken.

I wouldn't even mind if I had to run some sort of command in phpmyadmin to finish the upgrade, but there's GOT to be a way to get upgrades to work without having to uninstall the component.
