Not sure what is required but I am looking into an iphone app for my campingclub website. We use Jomsocial and are looking into the services of www.ijoomer.com .they will build an app for your jomsocial site for around 400. I asked them if dtregister could be added to this app to work from an iphone but they have not come up with a price. one of the issues is they want admin access. I am not sure what is needed and if I am opening up a can of worms trying to find a way members can pay via smartphones. Is there other methods out there or can you pay via iphone now??

Greg,

You can access DT Register forms on your website via mobile devices now, just not through a special app. We are working towards an app now for managing events, records, scanning barcodes, etc. For an app that people would use to register... we need to make an app geared towards the user, not management. Would of course need to make custom versions for your own branding.

Wasn't familiar with iJoomer.com. I'll touch base with them and see what we can maybe hammer out.

Thanks Nathan,
I can see a benefit of managing records at an event with a smartPhone app but in reality when we have an event going on, I have hard copies and a laptop nearby. Our members use smart phones and I have many requests to get an app set up for my JomSocial functions. It would be great to have an event with Smartphone realtime image uploads and talk.

Using Mobile Joomla to almost instantly convert my site to mobile. Everything works fine except the header which contains site name, back and home buttons is mangled. Can display upcoming events, register for events and pay with mobile paypal.

+1 -- If DTRegister integrated with iJoomer I would buy it.

Any status on the idea of having my smart phone allow for scanning of user's tickets at events? This would be huge. Basically this is the one feature that I am really missing right now.

I have no good way to print a member's list all of registered people and also scan barcodes.

If you can develop an app that allows for scanning of barcodes and automatically updates the site attendance status this would be HUGE.

For example, having multiple people at an event all scanning in tickets and getting updated in real-time is key.

Please let me know. Also I have extensive experience in testing apps and other software due to my profession and would love to help out in any needed beta testing across devices as I have a few.
