One thing I run into on every event for every society site I create is that they never have a single amount for the event. They always have a fee for different types of registrants:

Example:

- Member $100
- Non-member $200
- spouse - $50
- guest - $25
- reception only $30

When we use these multiple types of registrations, we lose the ability to use global early bird rates, late fees, and member discounts.

My suggestion:

Since I like to base a lot of my other fields on this first "registration" field, it might make sense to either add these checkboxes to a field, maybe create a new field type: "Registration Field" where you can apply checkboxes to each option: Apply Early Bird Discount?, Apply Member Discount?, Apply Late fee?. Only allow one of these fields per event.

Would be very helpful.

I'm surprised no one else needs this. Most all other major registration forms have a "registration types" as a standard. relying on a normal field to do this doesn't connect the member discounts properly.

See my post here (at the end):

I'm suggesting not only ticket types, but one of those be an "x for 1" type to let you do married couples as one member (so we don't have to use fee fields).

I suppose a "spouse" single payment type might work, but then you still run into issues with the way the new "don't give the system your total group number up front" thing (again, see my post). You'd have to be able to set conditions on the fee types to limit a single person from being able to check the spouse price for just 1 person. I suppose if you had group limits on ticket types that might work (instead of my x for 1 type).

I'd also love to see field conditions for ticket types.

These types of options would push DT up above systems like Event Brite (and the other joomla event reg components) because those FORCE you into adding ticket types to a cart right away and then filling in all the details. It's all rather clunky.
