Forgot to update this thread, but all users should\'ve been notified... this was fixed in 2.3.4 and detailed in our email newsletter how it works now. Thanks :)

I am experiencing the same issue with DT Register 2.3.5.

If a user aborts their payment at PayPal:
1)They are still marked as \'Registered\' for the event
2)They are not listed under \'failed attempts\'
3)The user as well as the admin receive the registration confirmation email
4)If the user decides they would like to try and register after their failed attempt they can\'t because the system thinks they are already registered.

Here is my setup:
Joomla
CB 1.0.15
JEvents 1.4.2
DT Register 2.3.5

I\'m happy to provide any additional info that would help diagnose this issue. Any suggestions on what i may be doing incorrectly are appreciated. Thank you.

Yes - confirmed here as well. Paypal functionality in v2.3.5 is still quite broken!

Records are marked as paid PRIOR to calling PayPal, so if user doesn\'t complete transaction, i.e. closes their browser DTRegister reports they are paid. In addition, as noted even if you cancel out of transaction in PayPal, the transaction is still left marked as paid...

Yes, I just discovered this as well. If you cancel the paypal transaction or just click \"back,\" DT REgister still marks you as registered for the event. The contact email gets the registration information as well.

I am using Joomla 1.5 legacy
Jevents 1.4.3 rc2
Dt Register 2.3.5

While there seem to be some issues still with this in 2.3.5, we are reworking the paypal integration now and hope to have an updated release in 1-2 days that will solve all of this.

Are you planning to implement Instant Payment Notification (IPN) this time around?

Trusting the user or an auto-return from paypal via the browser is just too risky - it\'s way to easy to have any type of error screw things up, from user error of closing browser/navigating away to an inopportune time for someone\'s connection to go down...
