Hi Nathan,
Can you please tell me if the eWay payment option in 3.2.1 uses TLS 1.2?
We've had an email from eWay saying that they are changing over to only TLS 1.2 towards the end of August.
Thanks, Peter

I submitted a ticket about this several weeks ago and have not had a reply.

What is happening?

Sorry for the delay. The current build does not support TLS 1.2. We are working on a new eWay plugin now and should have it available within the week... before the requirement is in full effect.

Hi Nathan,
any news on the update for eWay payments?
I've just received a reminder from eWay saying that they are cutting off TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on 28 August.
Regards, Peter

Hi Nathan

I have also received the same notice that eWay will no longer support anything less than TLS 1.2 from 28th August ( in 3 days time )

The support of TLS 1.2 is critical to our business

Murray

Sorry for the delay. We have now released a DT Register 3.2.3 and a new eWay payment gateway plugin. Update the DT Register component and install the new eWay plugin. Get the plugin for free from our payment plugin page (for now at least). Then you'll need to simply enable the plugin. The new plugin uses the latest eWay API to meet all of their latest requirements.

Go to DT Register Pay Options. You'll see "eWay" at the bottom of your gateway options. Check that box then set the details as needed. You'll need your API Key, API Password and Client Side Encryption Key from your eWay account. Then choose "Direct Connection", which encrypts your card details as it processes them right there on your site... or "Transparent Redirect", which collects the card details on your site, goes to a redirect screen and then processes the payment at eEway, but more behind the scenes. This replaces their previous API option that actually took you to their site for the payment. It doing the same thing mainly, just "transparent". That's how it works now... not a change that we made just on the DT Register side.

In testing, both options are working well. If you have any issues with live eWay payments, submit a ticket and we'll jump in and help out. We know this is a critical change. Thanks for your patience!
