TOPIC: Applying a discount based on a particular selection in a dropdown list

Is it possible to apply or enable a discount based on the user selecting a particular value in a dropdown list? For our annual reunion, we want alumni from 2012, for whom it will be their first reunion, to be able to get a lower cost for registering. It would be great if we could either automatically apply that discount if they select their year as 2012, or create a discount code that can only be used by people who select 2012. We just don't want other alumni who might find out about the discount code to be able to apply it to their registration.
