Has anyone found a benefit to auto-creating a Joomla member account during enrollment? We offer one and done events and have been forcing users to create an account. I can see if they have to make additional payments, but I am thinking I am making my customers go through more hoops than necessary.
If we shut this off, will they still be added to our newsletter extension?
If you want users to be able to:
- make additional payments
- cancel or edit registrations
- get auto populated data in future event registration forms
- have access to view registration history
...then you should maintain the user creation. If you don't utilize any of that, then you probably don't need to have that step in the process.
This has nothing to do with any newsletter plugins, so no worries there.
