TOPIC: [SOLVED] Spaces opened in a waitlisted program, but system still shows wait list button

We set up an event with just a few spaces so that aside from those first few we knew we would definitely have space for (one day registration for a 3 day event). Now we know how many spaces we have available in that event and updated the # in the event back end. But it's still showing the wait list button and putting people on the waitlist.
I've searched for a setting to change; I've purged the server caches, all to no avail.

What can be done to remedy this quickly?

This is due to changes in 3.1.12. Not only is the event capacity checked, but ALSO if there are ANY existing records with a "Waiting" status, the event will not allow a regular registration. This is part of what was changed to no longer allow the "hole" where people could register in front of someone that was on the waiting list already.

So just change your existing "Waiting" status records to active or pending and you'll be all good.
