In previous versions of DT Register, it was enough to enter past dates into the Registration Open Date and Cut Off date fields and registration form wasn't displayed when user clicked on the event record in a calendar view.

In the current version, it doesn't help. In the Configuration, I set to open the event details when user clicks on the event title. If there isn't any detailed event description, registration form is open instead. Event having past dates in those field, when you click on an event record in the calendar view, it opens a page with notification that said:

We are no longer accepting registrations for this event. Thank you.

How to change it? I don't want this message to be displayed.

You are correct, partially. You can set any event to just display without an active registration by setting the "Registration Open Date" to any date in the FUTURE... not PAST as you said in your post. Setting an open date that is after your actual event is essentially saying that registration will never open. You don't need to do anything with the cut-off date.

This works correctly for the calendar as well. There was an issue with this in one of the more recent builds, but it has since been resolved. If you have the latest version and have it setup correctly, this will work just fine.
