TOPIC: [SOLVED] No Confirmation Emails or Records after Booking made

Randomly some bookings are going through to Paypal and money is collected however no admin or client confirmation emails are received and no record is made in the backend of the booking.

This only occurs for some bookings and not others on the same event.

Could you please assist to fix this

If you have the latest build of DT Register in place, the only cause for this would be setup... and falls in line with details given in the package readme file and about 15326 other forum posts (maybe exaggerated)...

Check:

- IPN must be enabled in the PayPal account
- Permissions must be correct on site, from the top level containing the Joomla install on down... usually 755 directories and 644 files
- No added security measures (usually in the .htaccess file, sometimes caused by extensions like Admin Tools) that block direct access to this file:
/components/com_dtregister/success.php

Basically, here's how it works... or doesn't...

If someone chooses to not return to your site after paying at PayPal, or just closes the browser without returning, the only way DT Register can know that the payment was made is from PayPal's IPN system. That notifies DT Register of the payment so the record can then be completed. This is the reason why some records work and some do not. Some people return to your site... some do not.

As long as everything is setup as needed and there's nothing else getting in the way, it works just fine.
