Hi everyone,

I'm mainly using DT Register as a submission/form plugin, meaning I don't want to have a start date or end date for an event, but rather I need only to have a registration open date and cut off date. Are there any guides/tutorials on how to use DT Register as a way to submit documents, register for events, and so on without having to worry about when the event starts and ends?

I'm currently setting the start and end date as the same day as the cut off date, but that makes me uneasy because the email receipt might include the start date, which is incorrect. The actual event spans across multiple weeks on the weekends only, so it incorrect to have a start date and end date with the first day of the event and last day of the event as it will span across the calendar incorrectly.

TLDR: How can I use DT Register as a way to submit payment, or as an upload form without having to set a start and end date? I'm currently setting the start and end date either way into the future or cut off date. Any guides/advice is welcomed. Thanks.

Many people use DT Register for forms outside of events. You just need to:

1) Set configuration to NOT show the event date. This is global and will apply to all "event" or forms.
2) Set the ending date for the event to far in the future... and the form will remain active til then.
3) Don't set a cut-off date. Not necessary. That is only if you want to list an event but have a date when the registration form becomes unavailable.
4) You have full control over the contents of the emails that go to the registrant and the admin... so no worries on how event dates show. You can simply not use the event date email tags. If needed, you can customize the emails for each "event" so you can manually type in whatever date related information is needed.
