The problem is my header module thinks this is the home page and the header shows up there. How can do it with out that? I know that I can create a menu item and add that article to it and that works, but how would I get rid of the 22 that is there?
First, DT Register has nothing to do with the SEF URLs that are generated for your details articles... so modifying the category ID that shows would fall into SEF settings elsewhere.
Second, your template must be setup to use the home page menu ID if one is not provided. To make sure one is available to use, create an article category blog menu item for the category that contains your details articles. This menu item doesn't have to be used anywhere... just exist in something like a "Hidden Menu". DT Register will try to use the ID of this menu item for your details articles.
If that in itself doesn't work (which it should), you can always input an ItemID (menu ID) in the event where it allows for an ID override. That is there to force a specific ID to be used if the one you want is not being used.
