Until last week, I was using SMTP mail with my Google account with no issues. I would receive a admin confirmation email with each registration and I could also go to my sent box and make sure that the registrants emails were sent as well.
Last week, I started getting error messages that the SMTP could not connect, so I switched my Joomla configuration to PHP mail. I am getting the admin emails, but when I checked my sent folder on gmail, I did not see any record of the registrant emails being sent. So, I made some test registrations and the test email address did get a registration email so I know they are going out. I just miss that I don't know if the registrant confirmation email goes out each time.
Is there something I need to do to be able to see if these registrant emails are actually going out?
DT Register doesn't store sent emails. However, know that if a record is created, then emails are definitely being triggered. If you receive the admin email, you know that the registrant email was also sent... or at least attempted. You know DT Register is doing it's job. If an email doesn't arrive to a registrant, it would be due to the mail server or possibly an wrong email address.
I do know that SMTP mail settings can work with GMail. You may just need to confirm with Google support that your settings are good.
