I've looked everywhere for this answer without any luck. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I don't want to use the Front End Event Listing feature. I would prefer to link people directly to a specific event form. Sometimes we host private events by invitation only and I don't want them to show on the front end. I know there's a "private event" option, but it requires visitors to create a login and I don't want that. I used to be able to just plug in the specific event number in the Joomla url (the url was long and convoluted but it worked), but now that I've upgraded to Joomla 3, I can't do that unless the event is published to show on the front end.

Is there a standard URL structure I can use to go directly to each specific event without having to publish my events on the front-end?

Hello. Your event MUST be published for it to be available for any registration. You can have your event list menu item (which really should exist), have it published, but put it in a "hidden" menu. Just because it exists doesn't mean it has to be displayed. You can go to that URL and copy the registration links from there to paste wherever you need them.

OR...

You can create menu items for each individual event. That is one of the DT Register menu item options... a single event.

OR...

You can use the EventLink plugin. Make sure it is installed and enabled... then embed a registration button (or text link) using the syntax {dtregister}ID{/dtregister}. Replace "ID" with any event ID number.
