I downloaded the latest DT Register this morning and installed it on a site. While training a customer, we came upon the attached when adding a new fee field.

Rendering Error in layout Attachment/Item: Property "protected" is not defined. Please enable debug mode for more information.

When check the box for Fee Field, the Fees box becomes unshaded, as it should, but any entry returns the error "Please enter no more than 0 characters.".

There's only one option (single-select check box), and I tested this a few times on my end (so the customer could not see, and we had to move on to creating the event.

While there, I found that I can't Cancel a new Event creation without first completing the email notification field.

I won't be able to publish their new event until this checkbox issue is resolved.

Thank you,

Ernie

I tried this with a drop-down as an experiment, but it's still doing the same thing:

Rendering Error in layout Attachment/Item: Property "protected" is not defined. Please enable debug mode for more information.

Just as with a checkbox, if I enter an amount in the fees (there are two options: No and YES!) I get the error "Please enter no more than 0 characters.", and cannot save the field.

Should I submit a ticket on this?

I have 25 web sites using DT Register, and it's a lot of work to have to update this component each week because of the cascading errors since Joomla 3.4.1, 2 and 3 have come out.

The customer is doing a mass mailing, and the registration needs to be working.

Will downgrading to DT Register 3.1.2 break everything? I'm not sure if this worked in 3.1.2 because I don't think I needed to create any fee fields in that version. It's the only old version that I have.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ernie

Update: 3.1.2 apparently does the same thing:

Rendering Error in layout Attachment/Item: Property "protected" is not defined. Please enable debug mode for more information.

We've confirmed the issue... may have been another item resulting from the recent Joomla changes. We're working on a fix and will have one quickly.
