In the last number of weeks DT register has failed to send a confirmation email to both the registrant and the administrator. It seems to continually get worse as this is happening to about 50% of all registrations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is the record being created but just the emails not sending? If the record fails to be created, emails will not send but the issue would not have anything to do with emails.

However, if the record exists but just a problem with the emails, it's an issue tied to the email server or your mail settings. Which is it?

The records are being created, but the confirmation emails are not sending. I have switched the mail settings in the J! global configuration from PHP mail to Sendmail and back and forth a few times, but it doesnt seem to make a difference. Does DT Register rely on these settings for sending emails. As always, thanks for the great product, we've been using it for four years with only a few problems.

Make sure in DT Register configuration:

1) Emails tab... From Name and From Email are setup.

2) Same tab, do NOT check the option to send emails FROM the registrant email address. Some mail servers do not like this option and won't allow emails to be sent from certain domains and servers. So if you are having sporadic issues, this is most likely your problem.

3) Are the email problems in general or do they happen with a certain event or event(s)? If specific, check those events and make sure the emails tab within the event:
- isn't set to use a custom FROM EMAIL, custom admin and/or thanks email, but then doesn't have them setup.

If you still can't sort it out from there, submit a ticket with admin access and as much detail as you can provide and we'll check it out. By the way, usually, you should have Joomla set to "PHP Mail".

I went through your list below and everything checks out okay in the DT Register config settings and in all event settings. I will submit a ticket. Thanks for your help.
