Hi,

I have a need to allow 1 logged on user from the frontend to access the CSV export function only.

1. I have created a group called 'Records Manager' with the parent being the 'Registered' group. (to allow inherited login from front end.)

2. In permissions I have created the user with access to 'csv export' and 'edit own' only.

When set like that, the user gets access to nothing but gets this response:- 'DT_NO_EVENT_TO_EXPORT' when clicking on the CSV export button? (There is data in there BTW)

If I uncheck the edit own box in permissions the user can get the csv export function BUT gets full access(permissions)to the 'Event' and 'Records' data but none of the rest of the options?

I have synced and saved, logged the user in and out between tries to see if that has any effect but no joy. Is there something in GLOBAL permissions that need to be addressed/adjusted or other?

Has anyone experienced this?

DT register 3.0.8a
Joomla 3.2.3

We are aware... there's a little goofiness when trying to control specifically only CSV export permissions. We've already addressed it on our end and it will be included in the next update, which should be this week.

Hi Nathan,

Have you had a chance to have this issue fixed?

Sorry this post wasn't replied to again, but this WAS fixed and noted in the 3.0.9a release. We posted this minor update in the announcements forum and detailed what was included. This was one of the items. Note that you will need to re-save DT Reg Permissions after updating.

Hi,
I'm still having an issue with restricting a logged in (front end) user access to ONLY the CSV export.

Here is my setup:-
  1. Joomla 3.3.0; DT Reg 3.0.9a
  2. Global config permissions - Registered users site login allowed.
  3. DTREG permissions -
    • Super Users - all checked except 'edit own items only'.
    • Added user - 'CSV export' checked only
    • All other options - nothing checked
  4. Event owners - not set
With the setup as above the logged in user can export all of the records via the CSV export option BUT has access to all of the records via the Records button as well.
If the DTREG users permissions are changed to include 'Edit own items only' and keep 'CSV export' then the result is no records visible (great!) BUT get 'DT_NO_EVENT_TO_EXPORT' when trying to do an export?!
If the users permissions are all cleared (nothing checked) then the result is access to all records and a "You are not authorised to view this page" when CSV export is attempted.

Please, what have I missed?

PS I save/log in and out for every change I make.

Any further thoughts on what the problem could be Nathan?
