TOPIC: Looping

Some of my users are experiencing a sort of looping problem. I'm not able to reproduce it myself, and it seems sporadic. This is what one of them replied to me with:

"You start registering as an individual, fill out the first page of information, hit continue and then it loops back to an event selection menu. When you select an event, the process re-sets to square one and you are asked if you are registering as an individual or a group. Everything you entered up to that point is lost."

I had another user explain this to me as well. I'm not sure what can be done to correct, or is anyone aware of this happening also?

We're using Joomla 3.x, DTRegister: 3.0.4e

Any thoughts?

First, you are using an older DT Register version. We've done MAJOR improvements since that build so you very much need to update.

Second, if you have any site cache running at all (core Joomla, template, 3rd party plugin, etc), you need to either disable it or set it to NOT cache any DT Register pages... if your cache system supports that. If it doesn't, you need to find one that does and abandon the one you have in place... assuming you have one to start with. This is just my first guess as to what could actually be causing that type of issue.

I took a look at the caching and it appears to be OFF. I just now installed the latest DTR and will see if that solves it. I wont be able to tell and will have to wait for a user to experience the looping, as I can't make it do it. I will let you know when I find something out.
