TOPIC: Permissions Don't Work

I am using the latest version of DT Register (3.0.7) and the latest version of Joomla 3.2.2.

Cannot get users to access the backend of DT register (view/edit records).

Have set up a special group (event manager) with "special" access to view the backend of the website (granted special access in the Joomla user management tool). And have set up user group (event manager) to view/edit records in the DT Register permissions management tool.

After doing the above, users in the user group called event manager can get in to the backend of the website, BUT they can NOT see the DT Register component or any of the DT Register permissions I have granted to this group.

Help from this DT Register community is appreciated. Pulling my hair out, probably a simple fix for which the DT Register community can help.

Any ideas?

The permissions built into DT Register's backend have nothing to do with who SEES the DT Register component. This is who has access to various portions of functionality... and it works just fine.

What you are referring to is controlling who sees the component. DT Register doesn't have any separate permission controls for that... so whatever users have access to see Components on the admin side will see DT Register.
