TOPIC: CB vs JomSocial

Hi,

I haven't use any of them and as I understand I need to use one of them to sync Joomla user Profile with DT Register for authentication and auto populate.

i've seen some websites uses CB which adds many things and options which I'm not intending to use for not to add any complicated things and process to the main target: [Vist -> view Events -> Register -> Leave]

Which one work butter and which one do u suggest?!!

Both extensions will accomplish the same thing. JS will give a more Facebook-like experience and feel, but if you just want simple... go with CB. it's free and you don't have to make it complicated.

Installed CB and set it mange user profile but I don't know how to assign fields to match.

In CB menu edit profile I can see only:
First Name, Mid Name (which I added before installing CB), Last Name, eMail, UserName and Password. any tips on my issue!!

You can create whatever fields you want in the CB profile by going to the CB fields management area. Any fields you want to sync between the profile and DT Reg, the field must exist in both places and be the same type of field.

Then to SYNC them, go to DT Register -> Configuration. On the first tab you'll see a profile sync option. Select "Community Builder" here. Then on the "Profile Sync" tab, you can select any CB field and sync it with any DT Reg field.
