TOPIC: payment received but no registration created

the paypal instant payment came through fine, (regular paypal)
Paypal said the ipn went through successfully,
but no registration was created
other registrations that were paid by paypal pro came through fine

Hello. First, make sure you have the very latest package (updated today). There have been some "random" issues with record creation like this. Most likely, this is not that bug, but instead just a PayPal IPN issue. It's a common PayPal problem that is completely a settings issue. Check the following:

- IPN must be enabled in the PayPal account
- Auto-return must be OFF in the PayPal account
- Permissions must be correct on your site, meaning 755 for directories and 644 for permissions, from the top level containing your Joomla installation, all the way through.
- Make sure no security type restrictions are in place that would block IPN from communicating with your site. Sometimes people have special restrictions in their .htaccess file or a security component that cause a block.

Most likely your issue is one of these stated above. Be sure to update though to make sure that potential issue is pulled out of the equation too though!
