Is this a browser issue?

I am having the same problem - on a different pc than my usual one.

I don't get an error - but my super user cannot see any records.

No browser issues here...

zambego, if your Super User can't see records, it's a permissions issue. Only.

1) Make sure "Edit Own Items Only" is NOT checked for Super Users in the DT Reg permissions matrix.
2) Make sure your user is assigned ONLY to the Super User group. If assigned to other groups, it's not only unnecessary, it will cause issues with DT Reg permission. If you need to make group assignment changes, after you save you'll have to logout and login for changes to be applied.

This was actually stated above in this same thread also.

Nope.
There is definitely some issue here.

I just created a record and now there are no records showing.

Working fine - then not working fine.

Nothing to do with access levels as all the previous records I could see 5 minutes ago have disappeared.

zambego submitted a ticket so we could check into this further on his site. We've confirmed that there is not an issue. Here is the post from the ticket:

Yeah, the browser makes no difference. As stated in the forum post, your issue is due to user group assignment of the admin user. It is assigned to Super Users AND to Lime Member (or something like that). The DT Reg permissions for Super User get combined with the other group assignment... a group that does NOT have permission to view all records.

This is stated two times in that forum thread:

"Make sure your user is assigned ONLY to the Super User group. If assigned to other groups, it's not only unnecessary, it will cause issues with DT Reg permission. If you need to make group assignment changes, after you save you'll have to logout and login for changes to be applied."

Here's what's happening that makes it APPEAR to be a random or "sometimes" issue (which would not make any sense)...

You have your event(s) setup for auto-user creation with a user group assignment of Lime Members. So any user that registers for that event will get assigned to that user group. This is how it's supposed to work. If you want it that way and intend on using your "admin" user for testing registrations... I'd recommend adding the "admin" user to the permissions matrix so you can set permissions specific to that user, regardless of user group assignments.

So... no bug here. Thanks. :)

So anyone else that experiences this... where you can see records then later you can't... this would be why. Something like this will always come back to permissions.

yeah just to confirm.

What it seems was happening was.

I was using my admin account to create a booking record.

I originally checked permissions and groups and made sure my admin was only part of one group.

But, when I created a new booking record with my admin account - the admin account was again added to the "auto-assigned" user group. Creating this particular issue again.

Thanks.
