I have confirmed that when global configuration is set to SMTP with authentication required, it actually is not sending the AUTH command. DT Register still defaults to “Sendmail” and does to switch over based on server setting. How we can get a fix on this soon.
we are having the same issue. Due to server we are forced to use SMTP settings on the Joomla Configuration settings. This causes DT REgister not sending any emails even when sending emails is enabled from DT REgister backend.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon!
